El Almendro

Turron is a traditional sweet that has been made in Spain for over 600 years by mixing almonds,
honey and sugar. Traditionally, there are 2 types of turrons: Crunchy Almond Turron & Creamy
Almond Turron. The percentrage of almonds used will affect the quality standards of turrons, and El
Almendro only produces supreme quality with more than 60% of almonds in crunchy turron and
more than 64% in creamy turron.
 

The almonds are slowly roasted. Honey and sugar are then heated
and blended together with the toasted almonds and some egg white.
